The “Old Quinault Post Office” is home to the Lake Quinault Historical Society and Museum. Through community effort the old post office is undergoing a complete renovation. The downstairs is completed and opened to the public Memorial Day, 2004.
Two Quinault 24 foot cedar dugout racing canoes are part of the museum’s collection as well as exhibits of Dell Mulkey and Dale Northup photographs documenting the Quinault area from the 1920’s through the 1960’s.
The Lake Quinault Museum is located on the South Shore Road of Lake Quinault, adjacent to the Quinault Mercantile and within walking distance of the Lake Quinault Lodge.
